I've been pondering for quite a while now about whether or not to use wall stickers in my little girls' bedroom. They look beautiful in the pictures you see but I wondered if they would look that good in reality. Well, they do.. yesterday we had lots of fun sticking these on the wall.. We are slowly decorating this room and these gorgeous stickers are a good start. They are only $75 from Easy Decorating..

The Delicious Miss Dahl is coming to the Lifestyle Channel soon..can't wait. She's gorgeous and a fabulous cook. My husband will be pleased to know that I will be clogging up the Foxtel planner with yet another cooking show..I already have several Nigella, Barefoot Contessa and Jamie at Home. I like to watch them when I'm doing my housework, cooking, blogging..anytime. Is that odd? xx

Happy Fathers Day to truly the most wonderful Dad a little girl could have..
there is no better man than you xxxx
Our fathers toil with hands and heart
To make our lives complete.
They quietly brave the winter cold,
Endure the summer heat.
Our fathers' lives are busy, but
There's always time for us.
They boldly face the ups and downs
And seldom ever fuss.

As the house moves further towards the renovation finish line, my thoughts are turning to the blank walls. We've already bought some movie posters for the teen room and what we call the 'movie' room. I have stacks of photos waiting for frames and a few paintings lying around. But what I really want on our walls are 'memories'. Pictures, things that remind us of precious moments together. I just know the little ones would love this too.
Some time ago I was doing some housework with Martha on in the background. She was featuring an exhibition in New York called Family. The exhibit showcased the scrapboxes of Darcy Miller, an author, illustrator and mother of three. I was amazed at how creatively Darcy displays her family's memories. Her scrapboxes are exactly the kind of thing I'd like on our walls..
You can read more about Darcy here. Close to home, Shaz from It's What I Love creates beautiful memory boxes, have a look here. Happy Thursday xx
