Paint it Black

Thinking about a black/grey scheme for the teen ensuite has sparked my interest in black decor. I'm not sure I'm bold enough to use much though - I think a little looks great.

Dark & Glamorous

For the teen ensuite, we've decided on something dark & glamorous. Teen S has chosen a beautiful black, baroque style mirror as our jumping off point. It will certainly suit my current obsession with grey!

A particularly stressful day with the renovating yesterday. I need an enormous poster of this on days like that. I love this World War II British propaganda message. A definite decoration for the new kitchen!

Escape

Renovating is no fun for our children, particularly my beautiful little ones who are here all day, every day. When my littlest one (2 and a bit) is feeling a bit stir crazy in our two rooms, she says "Como, Mummy". Both girls love Como House in Melbourne. I've loved it since I was a little girl, too. It is majestic, has beautiful gardens to run around in and a great, child-friendly cafe. A great escape from the madness of renovating.

A Picnic

Eating in an area without a kitchen or dining table is a little challenging...so why not a picnic? The girls love it! About 3 weeks until the heart of the home starts beating again. In the meantime..some lovely kitchens..
