First of all, thank you for your support of my new blog -
The Happy Little Blog. You're right, I didn't have much time for one blog, let alone two, but blogging is a fulfilling hobby and connection to a great community, so I'm making some time for it!
On another note, my neighbour is currently selling her house and the only negative feedback she's received is regarding her kitchen. The kitchen is about 14 years old and is a little outdated. If the house doesn't sell, she might be able to give it a 'facelift' - new doors, drawers, benchtops. If that won't quite work, I've suggested an Ikea kitchen. For a fraction of the price of custom made, you get an attractive, durable kitchen. Plus a 25 year guarantee. I have Ikea cabinetry in my laundry and it's fantastic. These are Ikea kitchens and I think they look great..What do you think?

Well if her kitchen turns out to be half as good as your laundry she is on a winner! I like the ikea kitchens, they are functional and practical and a sensible price.
I love the Ikea kitchens. In fact we have just gotten a quote for the black cabinets and the white stone top as your picture shows. Can't wait! Good value for money if you ask me :D
I would be more than happy with an ikea kitchen!
Our kitchen is an Ikea one and we are more than happy with it. Lots to choose from there too.
Our island bench is based on IKEA (shell) and we love it! I would definitely recommend it. I will be using IKEA cabinets when we eventually do our laundry too. ;-)
Congrats on the new blog darl, looks brilliant!
yep, i'm thinking that when i get my next piece of "renovators delight"it is all going to start with a rip out of the kitchen and install ikea free standing units. in the location i'm heading to, to get a decent size house within cooeee of some kind of fanciful-memories-distance-of-a-budget-of-some-kind, it is going to be kitchen from hell territory. for sure.
I really thought the black shelves were attractive.
I am building a log cabin and the kitchen will have an island containing both sink and range. What to do with the wall behind the island? It is 12 feet to the ridge beam and the island is 18 feet long. Opposite wall to the island is a glass curtain wall 24 feet long and 12 feet tall. Should be dramatic! The glass wall looks out into a forest and flanks of two mountains.
But what to do for the kitchen wall. Thanks for the excellent post. Ann
I love Ikea kitchens and always have. Great solution. The kitchen is always an emotive issue with a house sale. I wish your friend the best of luck. A-M xx
My kitchen in London is the size of a postage stamp, so I would be rather elated to have any of these gorgeous kitchens. Such a lovely selection.
Love the IKEA kitchens... i think that's a great way to go.:)

p.s. Thanks for your input about my new header. :)
The first time I saw the kitchen in the first few pictures, I couldn't believe it was an Ikea kitchen. Ikea's come a long way!
