Study

The study isn't quite finished..we still have some painting, framing, window treatments and other little things to do.. but this is it so far. I'm definitely not going to win any decorating or design awards! We are limited in this room by doors on either side. But my husband seems to love it and I do too..

We decided not to spend much money in here so I chose free standing shelves instead of custom cabinetry. The shelves are from Ikea and cover most of the wall.. all for $350! I filled the space above with frames. Three of the pictures are painted by the talented Kerri Shipp, the rest are from Vintage Printables and The Graphics Fairy..

The desk lamp is also Ikea. The Big Ben and
Empire State are from Bed Bath & Table.

Union Jack cushion from Naked Decor..

The desk is from Ikea, they have a choice of tops and legs.
I chose a stainless steel combination..

Hope you like it.. I have a few blogs to catch up on now..xx

Oh wow, now that's a room to work in. Or to just gaze at that wall of bookshelves adoringly...

I love it! Recently had a quote for a built in library over $3000, thinking yours is a much better option. Also have those prints from kerri, LOVE them! Letitia xx

Now that is one fabulous study you have there Rachael!!! Looks fantastic, and I'm sure you're super organised and on top of everything with storage like that. Thanks too for the mention, it's always such a thrill to see my artwork in situ - and when the 'situ' is so gorgeous, it's even better! K xx

Rachael, it is stunning. You are so talented, putting all of that together. It looks so full of love and not cluttered, just lovely order and interest. Of course the magnificent St Kilda pieces just make the whole thing sing. What a lucky hubby you have. Well done.
I love Kerri's prints too, they look great.

You just have to love IKEA don't you?
I really like the fact that the bookshelves are different widths and the way that you've included personal stuff as well as the books and files. Great job, it looks stunning.

LOVE LOVE LOVING the study.

I have so missed your blog.

Finally I am emerging from the 'flood' that was Baked Relief and returning to a normalish life.

Congrats on your overseas trip! Excitment plus!
