When I was 6 years old I met the Queen.. I gave her flowers and she shook my hand and smiled. The same year I watched the wedding of Charles & Diana on TV. Both these events gave me an interest in Royalty and in Britain.. The history of the British monarchy is fascinating and I don't think Friday will be any exception.. We'll be having a little celebration here with a few British things.. How about you?

Being British I have the sentimental attachment and love all of the pomp and ceremony, will be watching!
Hope you enjoy your little celebration:)

I have totally surprised my slightly cynical side by being fascinated by all things royal for these past few months. Plus, do I *really* need an excuse to buy more Union Jack goodies? I think not!!!

My girlfriend is hosting a dinner for the special event. Unfortunatley she lives in Melbourne and I in Brisbane. I will watch with my daughter. Two more sleeps. Mimi xx
I'm really looking forward to watching the wedding on Friday too x
You met the Queen!! Squealing! I have a secret love for the monarchy... although I support Republicanism as well, but there is just something about the tradition and pomp! x
