BOO!

Hooray for Halloween! I hope it becomes a bigger event here in Australia, it's so much fun.. Who doesn't love dressing up, eating lollies and decorating the house? And then there's Trick or Treating.. the girls are going to put together some lolly bags tomorrow and help me carve a pumpkin..the first time I've ever done that..we'll see how it turns out.. Happy Halloween!

The Magic of Santa

Believing in Santa was magical for me as a child and my children LOVE everything about Santa..
So I was thrilled to discover the Portable North Pole. For anyone that hasn't used this wonderful site, it delivers a personalised video message to your child from Santa, straight to your inbox. Santa and the North Pole setting are both very believable and my girls were delighted to receive theirs last year. The message includes their name, their age, a photo of them in Santa's special book and the thing they would like for Christmas. Here's an example of a PNP message from last year..

Portable North Pole are adding new features to their 2010 messages, which will be available from the start of November. Have a look HERE

On another note, I've only had about 5 minutes of internet connection each day over the past week, however it's fixed now so I hope to catch up with all of you soon..Happy Tuesday xx

Artwork

My gorgeous little girls are always drawing pictures and making things so I came up with a way to display them in our family room. I went to frameshop.com.au and chose a frame with cork board option. If you haven't used frameshop before, it's very user friendly and well priced. They have many different options including framed blackboards, very popular at the moment!

Shortly after ordering, our enormous cork board was delivered and we stuck the beautiful artwork on! It might be too cluttered for some but many of the pictures were made especially for me or Daddy and I love looking at them every day.. The girls are very proud of the display too! We can also change them around as I chose to have no glass. What do you think? xx

A Rainy Day

We've had a couple of lovely rainy days here in Melbourne.. Yesterday we made mud puddles and stomped in them and today we've decided to stay indoors. The girls were trying to build a sheet cubby in their room so while they were doing that.. I set up a pretty little corner in their playroom..

We have a funny little alcove in front of the window which was perfect for an indoor 'tent'.. some cheap Ikea curtains, a few cushions and some bunting and there it is. The girls just love it, they've decided they're going to sleep there tonight!

Beautiful Shop ~ Provincial Home Living

I love this shop.. this and The Works in Hawthorn are my favourite places to go on those very rare days I might have by myself! They have an ever changing range of beautiful homewares and furniture, all very reasonably priced. And if I'm with the girls, they love to choose a soap each from the gorgeous little shapes they have. Unfortunately, Provincial Home Living only have stores in Victoria and the ACT but they're well worth a visit if you're in town..xx

Some recent purchases..

A few of their other offerings..

Beautiful Home

The beautiful home today is an oldy but a goody as I'm feeling somewhat shattered after the second grand final loss in a row for my beloved Saints. Sarah Richardson's summer cottage is on an isolated island off the Canadian coast..just where I'd like to be right now..Happy Sunday xx
