Architecture

If I could choose any style of architecture for my own home, it would be Georgian. The proportions, the symmetry, the decorative cornices, the large rectangular, sash, dormer windows, the framed internal doorways, the use of colour..I could go on. If you could have any style, what would it be? xx

Horses for courses! I lived in a Regency house in London for eleven years and loved it, had five glorious years in a vast Soho loft, I live in a very open rustic wooden cabin on the water now, and am planning a new-build barn with verandahs and vege gardens somewhere with good soil and water.

Just a house slut...

I think I am far too fickle to pin myself down to one style (or confused perhaps!) but I am very much loving that 2nd last picture you've posted. And the beautiful windows.

Me too - love Georgian. And my fave pieces of furniture are georgian too. Very elegant.

Ooh choices, choices. I am going into a panic at the thought of choosing... lovely images. Could I have a Georgian drawing room and farmhouse kitchen and uber sleek bathroom?

Yeah, I have a bit of Georgian in me too... soooo elegant. Is there such thing as 'Casual Georgian'??? or how about 'Seaside Georgian'??? A-M xx

So refined and elegant! It just looks palatial! I can just imagine my two boys running through those wide corridors - playing soccer or cricket or using it as a bolwing alley! Great pictures!

I would have to say it is the relaxed and comfortable looking Hampton style. Although relaxed it can be dressed up for any formal occasions. I love the images you have posted though... Have a great weekend.
