This is the mudroom part of our new laundry..
And this was our laundry before renovating..
Very narrow, very little storage and no real space for hampers/washing baskets.
The mudroom provides a space to sit down and take gumboots off, hang coats and lots of shelves for various bits and bobs.
I used an Ikea Expedit shelf from one of the kids' old bedrooms and added another (turned on its side) to the top, filling the wall space with shelving. It was a bit of a challenge for the builder to get it sitting just right (lots of silicone and liquid nails), but worth it in the end.
More pics of the new laundry later this week..things move slowly around here, looking after little ones!
